Hi, I’m Mike Bauer, an experienced English teacher with a strong background in both Spoken English and Business English instruction. With over seven years of teaching experience and five years of corporate business experience in sales and client management within Tech Businesses, I have worked with students of all ages and levels across a variety of settings, from primary and secondary schools in the UK to language schools in Thailand to international sport camps in Chicago to Business Employees, Owners and Entrepreneurs worldwide.
I hold a First-Class Honours Degree in Education and am CELTA/TEFL certified, equipping me with the pedagogical expertise to create engaging and effective learning experiences. My teaching philosophy is centered on tailoring lessons to each student’s unique needs and goals, ensuring that they gain confidence and fluency in English.
Beyond my formal education background, I have extensive experience in the business world, having held roles in sales, account management, and tech startups. This firsthand experience gives me a deep understanding of the language and communication skills needed for success in a professional setting. I specialise in teaching Spoken English and Business English, including interview preparation, business vocabulary and idioms, presentation skills, and effective email and report writing.
